Hayley Johnson - owner at Legacy Paver Group

WHAT WE DO

Hayley Johnson has been running The Legacy Paver Group since 2003. The company specializes in the design and installation of pavers and outdoor elements such as kitchens, firepits and retaining walls—a far cry from her background in PR and marketing for high-tech companies in Silicon Valley and Los Angeles. But after a decade, “I’d tired of the high-tech industry by the time my first daughter, Cyd, was born. The days were long and the work was unrewarding. I wanted to spend more time with her.”

Hayley’s father was running a small company installing paver driveways in Marin County at the time, so she and her husband made the move from Los Angeles, and Hayley decided to take some time to help her dad organize and grow his business. “It was only supposed to be for a year or so, but I quickly developed a passion for the work,” she says.

“I was able to let my creative juices flow and really help people to enhance their homes,” she continues. “I found it very rewarding.”

Hayley took over the business completely in 2003 and ventured into commercial projects. “Being a woman on a big construction site was a little intimidating at first. There were a few uncomfortable moments of feeling dismissed or not feeling as though I was being taken seriously, but I was quickly able to build a reputation as a professional with an eye for design and an ability to bring a project in on time or under budget.”

Hayley has taken the company from a three-man operation in Marin to a firm with a sales team and multiple crews working several projects at a time all over the Bay Area. In addition to hundreds of residential installations, The Legacy Paver Group has worked on several high-profile projects over the years, including USF campus renovations and several wineries and shopping centers across the Bay Area. Hayley is very hands-on and is involved in all aspects of the business from marketing design and sales, to project management, as well as the day-to-day running of the company. Under her guidance The Legacy Paver Group has gained a solid reputation as a company which marries artisanal quality with affordability to produce the best possible experience for it’s clients.

WHY CHOOSE THE LEGACY PAVER GROUP?

Choosing a qualified paver installer is the first, and most crucial step in ensuring the longest possible lifetime of your new installation. Our time-tested process guarantees that your new driveway, patio, walkway or pool-deck will last well into the next century. We will also leave you with simple, proven maintenance tips to keep your pavers in top shape. And, just so that you are sure you are working with the best, we back each and every one of our installations with an unmatched warranty.

We spend a lot more time on preparation than most companies. The design of a paving stone project is what you immediately see, but what goes on underneath is even more important. We put extra time and care into each project to make sure it’s done right.

We provide honest estimates that never change throughout the course your project. Our numbers are real and they don’t change—the amount we quote before our work begins is the amount the customer pays at the end.

We provide a 25 Year Warranty. Our warranty covers anything related to the installation itself, including buckling, cracking, spreading and retaining edge failure. If we investigate a problem and determine it was caused by incorrect installation methods, we’ll repair it immediately for free.

Don’t settle for the first, or the most persuasive, or even the cheapest contractor. Cutting corners at any point in the installation will result in devastating and potentially costly failures. Let us help you with your research, we will provide you with information on paver manufacturers, style and color choices, as well as installation dos and don’ts.

Stan, Sales Manager a the Legacy Paver Group

Stan Jonah

Sales Manager

I have 17 years’ experience in the design, estimating and sales of all types of hardscape projects, the latter 11 of which have been with The Legacy Paver Group. While working for another hardscaping company, I found that Legacy’s innovative designs, impeccable craftsmanship and significantly lower prices made it difficult to compete with them on an even playing field. So, in a classic case of “if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em,” I applied to become their sales manager. I am proud to represent The Legacy Paver Group and provide my clients with the finest possible results.
